In the family, everyone has their role. Grandfather Domenico, the "Director" and head of the household, is the heir of the family estate. He oversees and directs the activities that take place here. Passionate about DIY, agriculture, and homemade wine, he has spent a good part of his free time organizing and managing the vast spaces of Santa Rosa. Grandmother Paola, the "Saint, " is the driving force of the family, the place, and especially the bed & breakfast, which she is still an essential part of. Homemade breakfasts and chats are her specialty. Then there's Alessandra, or rather Aunt Ale, the "Jack-of-all-trades. " She does everything from restoring the structure to creating crafts, from driving the tractor to cultivating roses, from take care of her beloved hens to preparing fragrant croissants, and much more. And finally, there's Tiziana (Aunt Ti), Gabriele (Uncle Bi), Siria and Simone. Aunt Ti has a degree in Environmental Economics. Not by chance, she manages the household finances and carries forward the project on "Ecosystem Services" in Santa Rosa, which was started in 2016. The aim is to highlight all the valuable benefits that the surrounding nature provides for free every day, in order to preserve them even in the long term. Uncle Bi, a farmer for generations and passionate about mechanics, helps her in this endeavor. Together they started the farm in 2020, cultivating the family land and producing seasonal vegetables and fruits, legumes of typical local varieties and strictly extra-virgin olive oil. For them it is not just a question of mere agricultural production. It is a lifestyle choice, the agriculture, understood as a profound bond between man and nature, respecting its delicate balance. The direct sale of products becomes a moment of meeting, in which they try to make people participate in this strong bond, sometimes involving them in direct experiences in the cultivated fields. Lastly, Syria and Simone are the future generation. They add that magical touch that only children can give. They learn quickly, immersed in a thousand stimuli, they are always on the move and never miss an opportunity to amaze us.
